Whether you are a lifelong resident of the Columbus and Fremont, NE area or you are just visiting, stop in the country school at District 10. Our one-room school house is a historical site, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. It was established around 1877, providing free education to the young settlers in the area, and is one of the four rural schoolhouses left in Nebraska.
In addition to our distinctive school, we offer this wonderful, historic space as a social gathering venue. District 10 is also a unique place where you can enjoy our popcorn with and attitude and a beverage of your choice. When you walk through our door, we want you to take a step back in time to when everything was slower, friendlier, and simpler. Our goal is to be known as “a social gathering place” for everyone in Fremont, NE or any of the surrounding areas.
